Mrs. Amanda E. (Horlacher) Baer, 91, formerly of 2 Grant Street, Lafayette, died at 12:20 a.m. Sunday at Comfort Inc. Convalescent Home, where she had been a patient since November 1962. She was born near Stockwell and in 1893 was married to Charles E. Baer. They lived in the Stockwell and Lafayette community all their lives. He died in 1960. Mrs. Baer was a member of Congress Street Methodist Church; Hope Chapter No. 5, Order of Eastern Star, and Pythian Sisters. There are no immediate survivors.
