Connie Jean Bagley 1937 ~ 2005 Connie was called home and reunited with her parents, many friends and relatives Thursday Dec. 8, 2005. Connie was born May 31, 1937 in Salt Lake City to Ray and Maurine Bagley. Connie was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother figure and friend. She will be missed by those left behind. Connie is the second of four children. She is preceded in death by her father, mother and many loving aunts, uncles and a nephew. She is survived by her two brothers, Bill (Kathy), Ray (Diane), sister, Bonnie and many nieces and nephews. Connie graduated from Granite High School in 1955. She worked as a nurses aid in a private nursing home for two years then went to work for Valley Bank and Trust in 1957 where she worked for 35 years. She attained the title of Assistant Vice President in a time when there were few women with titles. She was proud of her title and loved her job. She was one of the last employees to leave as they closed down the operations center with the Bank One merger. She worked and retired from First Security Bank in 1998. She had a great love of her family and friends and enjoyed being around them until Alzheimer's took away the pleasure of being with them. She was always busy with crafts and making beautiful crocheted afghans and baby items. She continued to stitch right up the final two weeks of her life. She was an inspiration to her younger sister whom she raised and provided love and shelter to for 54 years. She will be missed tremendously. The family wants to extend gratitude to the multitude of people that have provided care for Connie over the past four years, Rocky Mountain Care and Rocky Mountain Hospice have been invaluable in their assistance and loving care. Salt Lake Aging services and Judy for two years of respite care and St. Joseph Day Care where Connie loved to go each day to spend time with her new friends and the children. Services will be Sat. Dec. 10th, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 So. Published in the Deseret News from 12/9/2005 - 12/10/2005.
