MIDVALE -- Ben G. Bagley, Midvale attorney, passed away August 3, 1996.

Born April 11, 1915 to L. Loraine Bagley and Elaine Neff Bagley. Married Marie Pehrson on August 1, 1936 and they shared 60 years as loving partners. He passed the Utah State Bar in 1937 and opened his legal practice in Midvale, retiring in 1994. Served as Midvale City Attorney for 35 years; elected as a member of the Jordan School District Board of Education for 4 years, served as a member of the United States Selective Service Board for more than 25 years; was a charter member of the Midvale Kiwanis Club and served as Lt. Governor of the Utah-Idaho District; Past Master of Canyon Lodge #13, F.&A.M.; Past Patron of Martha Chapter #7, O.E.S.; Member of El Kalah Shrine Temple and the Chanters; an active member of Gyro International. Inducted into the Midvale Hall of Honors in 1987. He leaves his family and friends surrounded with a legacy of love, wit, wisdom, and guidance. He lived his life through his personal example of constancy and service to family, friends, and community.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Bagley; children, Grant and Margaret Bagley; John and Megan Bagley; JoAnn Seghini; Donna Olcott; and foster daughter, Nora Hansen; sister, Margaret Turner; brother, Donald Bagley; grandchildren, Susan Munn, David Bagley, John Bagley, Paige Bagley, Todd Bagley, Christian Bagley, Stephen Seghini, Edward Seghini and Kelli Diamond; as well as seven great-grandchildren.

His life was a celebration, one we will continue to share with each other. Special thanks to Drs. Barton and Mintz and the staff of Salt Lake Regional Medical Center for their medical care and personal concern.

Graveside services will be conducted by Canyon Lodge #13, F.&A.M., at the Midvale City Cemetery at 12 noon on Tuesday, August 6, 1996. Friends may call at the Midvale Masonic Temple, 30 North Center Square, Midvale, Utah on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make donations to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, Intermountain Unit, SLC.
