Deceased Name: Garland Bailey Jr.
Garland Bailey Jr., age 67, of Beckley, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008, at Raleigh General Hospital.
Born Sept. 12, 1939, at Glen Rogers, he was the son of the late Garland Sr. and Willie Gunnoe Bailey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Nelson Bailey, and a sister, Ramona Sizemore.
Those left to cherish his memory include three sisters, Mary Bailey Lucas and husband Robert of Cleveland, Ohio, Shirley Woody and husband "Woody" of St. Albans, and Phyllis Harrah and husband Bud of Stanaford; and two brothers, Adalee Bailey and wife Gracie A. of Roanoke, Va., and William Bailey and wife Linda K. of Moneta, Va.
Services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2008, at 2 p.m., at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, with Rev. Jerry Tyree officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Friends may gather with the family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
