Abbie C. Bailey, 81, widow of William Bailey passed away Nov. 9, 1944, after a short illness at her home in Knox, where she had lived for 59 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Lula Pattee of Knox; one granddaughter, Vivian Reynolds of Florida; five grandsons, Clayton Pattee of Brooks, S/Sgt Millard Pattee, Italy, Kenneth Gordon of California, Sydney Gordon of Portland, Everett _______ of Oakland; nineteen great-grandchildren; one niece, Edna Haskell of Bangor; a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held at the residence with the Rev. Leslie Howland of Unity officiating. Two hymns were beautifully rendered by Pearl Blenis, Clara Bryant with guitar.
The beautiful flowers from relatives and friends showed the high esteem in which she was held.
Interment was in Knox Station Cemetery. Bearers were Wesley Warman, Norman Penney, Ira Bailey and Mason Shibles.
