Marie R. Ainsleigh of North Conway NH died November 15, 2000, at the Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in North Conway following a long illness. She was 87. Born in Boston MA, the daughter of Leo and Mary (Haggerty) Bailey, she lived in Quincy MA for 22 years and Braintree MA for 35 years. She also lived in Largo FL for 8 years and in Brockton MA for 17 years before moving to North Conway in 1997.

Ms. Ainsleigh was a graduate of North Quincy High School, class of 1931. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and was an active volunteer at the veteran's hospital in Brockton. The Braintree Police Department had employed her as a crossing guard for seven years.

The family includes her daughters Virginia M. Dionne of Brunswick ME and Marjorie R. Brown of Twin Mountain NH, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Jack R. Ainsleigh in 1998.
