Edward "Ed" Bajer, age 61, of Sherman, formerly of West, passed away Friday, June 20, 2008 at his residence. A rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West, with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Mr. Bajer was born July 29, 1945 in West, the son of Frank and Julia (Kucera) Bajer Sr. He attended St. Mary's School and was a 1962 graduate of West High School. He served his country with the United States Air Force. Upon his return he worked for Central Texas Iron Works in Waco for several years and most recently worked in the maintenance department for the Sherman Housing Authority. Ed enjoyed fishing and playing dominoes.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Bajer; his parents; two brothers, Frank Bajer, Jr. and Jimmie Bajer; and a sister-in-law, Ella Mae Bajer.

Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Vavra and husband Harold of Temple; a brother, Ludvik Bajer and wife Mildred of West; sisters-in-law, Catherine Bajer of West and Jo Anna Bajer of Waco; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
