Charlene Ann Baker, 73, of Muncie, IN, passed away Friday at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, IN. She was born in Muncie, the daughter of Kenneth and Zora Madge (Bantz) Baker. She graduated from Montpelier High School and also earned her Certified Professional Secretary Certificate from Indiana Business College. Ms. Baker was employed for St. Joe Paper Co. in Hartford City for 11 years.

Thereafter, Ms. Baker also retired from Ball State University in 1997 after 32 years of employment as an Administrative Coordinator in the Marketing Department. She was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi for Professional Secretaries International. She also enjoyed spending time with her sorority sisters. Ms. Baker was also an avid bowler, enjoyed crocheting, and enjoyed board games.


Charlene was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert E. Baker.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday at Garden View Funeral Home. Pastor Rob Neel will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
