Mr. Baker was born in New Castle and had lived most of his life in Delaware County. He was a graduate of Central High School and retired from Warner Gear Division (now Borg-Warner Automotive) in 1976 after 30 years.
He was a member of Full Gospel Temple and was active in the United Auto Workers Local 287. He had also served in the Navy, receiving the Silver and Bronze Stars.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel. Burial will be in Tomlinson Cemetery. Calling will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
