Andras Balazs was the son of Keva and Susannah Balas. His wife was Julia. Their children were Elizabeth, Joseph, Paul, and Mary. Andras arrived in the United States, at the age of 26, on the S. S Pennsylvania, sailing from Hamburg on January 5, 1922, to the Port of New York. He was killed by a slate mine accident at the age of 57.
