GARDNER – Dave C. Baldwin, 63, of 113 Kendall Road South, Gardner, died Sunday morning, September 8th in Soldiers' Home in Holyoke.

He was born in Worcester on May 3, 1950, son of the late Fred and Florence (Gabrielson) Baldwin and had lived in Gardner for 26 years. Dave was a previous resident of Sutton.

Dave was a construction worker for Local#39 in Fitchburg for many years until his retirement in 2005. During the Vietnam War, Dave proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy Underwater Demolition Team. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Expert Pistol Medal. He was a member of UDT Seal Association, UDT Seal Museum and Gardner American Legion Post#129. An avid outdoorsman, Dave enjoyed fishing, camping and wildlife.

He leaves two brothers, Warren G. Baldwin of Tunbridge, VT and Wayne R. Baldwin of Oakham; three sisters, Beverly Blongren of Boylston, Judy Plante of Mashpee and Betty Taft of Shrewsbury, as well as several nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 13th at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery.
