Frank Fowler Baldwin was born Mar. 30, 1878, attended Yale but left in 1898. He started work as a field worker and eventually became President of the Kahului Railroad in 1910, and of the Hawaiian Commerical Company (HC&S) when Henry Perrine died. In 1948 Frank combined HC&S with Maui Agricultural Company, for a combined 25,454 acres (10,301 ha). He died Feb. 6, 1960.

He married Harriet Hattie Kittredge on 19 July 1897, in Oakland, Alameda, California, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons. He immigrated to Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii, United States in 1938 and lived in Puunene, Maui, Hawaii, United States in 1910 and Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii, United States for about 10 years. He died on 6 February 1960, in Makawao, Maui, Hawaii, United States, at the age of 81, and was buried in Makawao, Maui, Hawaii, United States.
