Doris Elaine Anthony St. Clair Doris Elaine Anthony, age 90, passed over to life eternal on Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Doris Elaine was born February 16, 1921 to Vernon and Grace (Balfour) Muhlitner of St. Clair. Doris and John "Harry" Anthony were married October 27, 1944 when they eloped to Ohio. Doris was a life long member of the First United Methodist Church of St Clair. She sat on many boards, and volunteered whenever asked. She was a member of the Martha Circle. Doris was a volunteer for River District Hospital as a "Pink Lady" for many years. She also was a Bus Driver for the East China School District, retiring after 19 years of service. Most of all, Doris was a friend to everyone she met. Doris and Harry's home was always open. People of all ages knew they were welcome to that Bree Road Home any time day or night. Maybe to get something to eat, a hot cup of coffee or just a warm smile that said "come on in". Doris leaves behind 3 sons: Harry (Gail) Anthony, Allan (Alice) Anthony, Jeffrey Anthony; 2 daughters: Rebecca (James) Caldwell, Melissa (Jeff) Westrick, all of St. Clair; grandchildren: Trisha (Jamie) Butlin, Lisa (Stew) Winston, Angela (Kristina) Stier, Dennis (Rachel) Stier, Jason (Nicole) Westrick, Nicholle (Clint) Westrick, Sara Anthony, Erica Hill, Desiree Botello, Erin Anthony, Gracie Anthony; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law: Lottie Virginia Hiatt, New York, Helen Muhlitner, Luella Muhlitner, both from St Clair; several nieces and nephews; a special friend "Mary". And a Heartfelt Thank You to Annie's Nest for caring for our Mother. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, of 62 years, Harry; her sister, Evelyn; brothers, Raymond and Allan; and her best friend, Phyllis Bigger. Cremation has taken place. A memorial will be held in the springWhen the Flowers Bloom. Arrangements by Young Funeral Home. www.youngcolonial.com

Al,your Mom will be missed. God doesen't make them like her anymore. She always welcomed you and always had a geniune interest in how you and your family were doing. Whenever, I talked to your mom, she would always aay, "Make sure you tell Kathy I said Hi" You and Alice and the rest of the family will be in our prayers. God Bless

Your parents were both very unique and special people. They left behind their beautiful and comical legacy in their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and entire family. They will be missed. Farewell to my Michigan 'Ma'. Rest in peace, Doris.

Mrs. Anthony was my bus driver for years going through Middle and High school. She was one of the nicest persons I have ever met.
