CHURCH - Margaret Joan Balfour Church, late of Regina, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2008 at the age of 82 years.

Predeceased by her husband C. Norman Church in 1997; her parents Hattie and James Balfour, Joan is survived by her daughter Barbara; sons Brian (Kathy), Donald (Kelly), and David (Jody); grandchildren Jenny Staudt (Dieter), Alison Suderman (Devin), Laura Staudt, Dayna, Craig and Ashley Church, and Gene and Leah Church; sister Mary Louise (Stewart) Steiner; brother Craig (Elsie) Balfour; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Born in Regina on January 14, 1926 Joan spent her early life in Lumsden, moving to Regina for the duration of her life. She was very committed to her community, her province and her country.

From an early age she was an active volunteer with an endless number of community programs. She led a very full life. Joan was honored with life memberships from James Henderson LLD Chapter, municipal, provincial and national IODE, Knox-Metropolitan United Church and the Government House Historical Society.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Knox-Metropolitan United Church, 2340 Victoria Avenue with Rev. Dr. Robert A. Kitchen officiating.

Interment in Regina Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make a donation, in memoriam, to a charity of choice.
