Sarah married James Loy (born 10-9-1856 in Saline County, MO) on August 1, 1888, in Fayette, Howard County, MO; the marriage is recorded in the Howard County, MO, Marriage Book 2, Page 128 and she is listed as "Sallie E. Ballenger." Sarah and James were married just a few years and then divorced. James was a lawyer; he died in Phoenix in 1926.
