Jim proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married his wife Beth in 1955; they celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in June. They shared a special love for each other.
He is survived by his wife Beth, his son Jim (Pam), his daughter Paula McCune (Glen), his grandchildren Danielle and Cameron, his sister Earla Smith, brother William Ball (Butchie) and his brother-in-law, Bryan Riggins (Bonnie), and many nieces and nephews.
Military honors will be held at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona at 9:30 a.m. on December 19, 2011. Memorial Service to follow at 10:30 a.m. at Unity of Phoenix, 1500 East Greenway Parkway, Phoenix, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of the Valley, Arizona, www.hov.org.
