Sister Catherine St. Alice Ball, 91, of the Sisters of Notre Dame, died in the Notre Dame Long Term Care Center. Sister Catherine was born Virginia G. Ball in Dorchester, daughter of Harry W. and Mary E. (Anderson) Ball. Her family can be found on the 1930 census for Boston. She graduated from St. Gregory High School in Dorchester and Emmanuel College in Boston. She entered the Sisters of Notre Dame in 1935. She was a longtime educator in Notre Dame schools including St. Mary's School in Cambridge.
