Obituary:
Mildred Ballew Ausburn, 81, of Mountain View Road, Gainesville, passed away Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Katie Lancaster officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Ausburn was born Sept. 22, 1925, in Habersham County to the late Leonard and Hattie Durham Ballew. She was a homemaker and a member of Free Chapel Worship Center. Ms. Ausburn was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Ausburn; three daughters, Sylvia Shuler, Bonnie Gail Thompson and Joan Allen; and one grandson, Scotty Dunagan.
Ms. Ausburn is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Dean Kinsey of Gainesville and Fredia and Bobby Poss of Flowery Branch; sister, Areeta Hendrix of Carl; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
