Mr. Ballew was born July 5, 1933 in Cooks, the son of Billie and Edna Cookson Ballew. He was reared in the Tahlequah and Cookson area. He spent most of his life in the insurance business receiving several accommodations. In 1975 he received his Club status as a Insurance salesman and was a charter member of the million dollar round table. He also served in the U. S. Navy being honorably discharged.
Among those he left behind include his wife, Charlene, of the home; mother Edna of Okla; three sons, David, Dirk of Okla., and Haskell of Ark; one daughter Amanda of Okla,; and two grandchildren, Eric and Justin.
