As an artist, she liked to do canvas paintings and reverse ink on glass art. Sharon was also a talented woodworker and refinished some of the woodwork in her home and antiques. She loved to collect antiques and jewelry. Sharon also enjoyed crafts, including making clothing for her children when they were young, making jewelry and also other crafts like the dough Christmas ornaments that she would make with her family this time of year.

Sharon loved to travel as well. She liked camping and visiting places at both home in the U.S. and abroad. Some of her favorite places to visit were rural Florida, MO and England.

Cooking was another talent that Sharon possessed. Her family loved her homemade caramels, strawberry preserves and snowballs. Sharon’s recipes were always by heart, never written down. And if an ingredient needed to be added, she would usually use bacon grease!

Sharon attended First Christian Church in New London, Missouri.
