Services for Mrs. Bess L. Arwood, 77, will be at 11am Saturday in the Lawrence-Sorenson and Lanier Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. LeRoy Grissom officiating. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Mrs. Arwood, who lived in Westover, died Thursday morning at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital after a short illness. She was a member of Westover Baptit Church.
Survivors include a son, Thurston Arwood of Jackson; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Nell Hinton of Jackson and Mrs. Charles Peyton of Humboldt; two brothers, Adam Ballinger of Brownsville and Paul Ballinger of Memphis; one sister, Mrs. Christine Cates of Gates; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joe Arwood, Steve Arwood, Bobby Brien, Sid Pierey, Charles Buntin, Jr and James M. Brown.
