Catherine Helena Bahen, 97½ Clinton St., Greenville, formerly of Sharon, died at 4:47 p.m. Tuesday (2-20-01) in the emergency room of UPMC Horizon, Greenville. She was 101.

Mrs. Bahen was born Feb. 1, 1900, in New Castle to Thomas Bancroft and Mary Rice Bancroft.

She attended New Castle area schools and was a seamstress.

Mrs. Bahen was a member of St. Michael's Church, Greenville.

Her husband, William Bahen, is deceased.

Surviving are: two brothers, Howard and John Bancroft; a sister, Marie Sweeney; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and some brothers and sisters.
