CHARLES 'BUDDY' BANKS, 71, of Memphis, died Monday at Memphis Veterans Medical Center after a stroke. M. J. Edwards & Sons Funeral Home has charge. He was an Army veteran. He leaves four daughters, Barbara Dotson and Dollie Jones, both of Memphis, and Melavarne Taylor of Atlanta and Rosie Washington of Springfield, Ill.; six sons, Leo Banks, Jesse Banks, Charles Banks Jr., Robert Banks, Lawrence Taylor and Tulan Taylor, and a sister, Virginia Butler, all of Memphis; a brother, Hubert Bank s of Chicago, 27 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
