Word was received in this city today of the death Wednesday at Morristown, NJ of Mrs. Frances Adelaide Barbarin, formerly of Washington, who died at the residence of Mrs. Sarah C. Howland, with whom she had been residing for some time past.

Mrs. Barbarin was the eldest daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Van Ness Barbarin and the late Frank Hyde Barbarin. She was also a sister of Mrs. Theodore McGirr and Hyde and John Barbarin, all of whom now live in New York City. The deceased was born in this city and was educated in the public schools here. Her health had been failing, but although her death was expected, the announcement comes as a severe shock to her many friends in this city.

Services were held this afternoon at her late residence in Morristown, NJ, after which the remains will be sent to Albany, NY. Interment is to be made tomorrow afternoon at Rural Cemetery, Albany.
