Yvonne Bechet, age 91 passed away one day before her 92nd birthday on Saturday morning February 8, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Yvonne was born in New Orleans to the late Walter and Francesca Barbarin Sr. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Bechet for 72 years. Mother of Barry and Alan (Dianne) Bechet. Sister of Alfred (Gloria) Barbarin Sr. and the late Walter and Albert Barbarin, Lloyd Bennet Sr and Ida Darensburg. Grandmother of Denise and Rose. Also survived by 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the Family, also priests and parishoners of Corpus Christi-Epiphany Catholic Church are all invited to attend the mass of Christian Burial on Friday February 14, 2014 at 10:00 am at Corpus Christi-Epiphany Catholic Church 2022 St. Bernard Avenue, New Orleans, La. Interment St. Louis No. 3. Visitation begins at 8:00 am, in the above named church.
