He retired as a Librarian with the N. O. Public Library after 38 years of dedicated service.
Loving husband of Carolyn Dominique Barbarin; father of Erskine (Mary) Barbarin, Jr. and Elgin (Charlotte) Barbarin; grandfather Elgin Moore, Quadry, Elgine', Eshante' and Akira Barbarin;
Beloved son of the late Elcedo Barbarin Lawrence, Hamilton Lawrence and Earl Barbarin;
Brother of Marie Wong, Agatha DeVore, Ursula Robinson, Alfreda Mansion and Elaine Bijou; nephew of Elmonzo Cahn Bijou; also survived by a host of sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
