Alfredo "Bombon" Barbosa, 44, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Valley Regional Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Brownsville, Texas. Alfredo was preceded in death by his father, Alfredo Barbosa.

He is survived by his wife, Raquel Barbosa; two children, Evany Alejandra and Luis Alfredo Barbosa; his mother, Esthela Barbosa; two sisters, Blanca E. (Armando) Lozano and Norma Gomez; a brother, Alejandro (Gloria) Barbosa.

Visitation and Rosary were held May 10, 2012, at Garza Memorial Funeral Home. Mass of Resurrection was held at 4 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2012, at St. Mary, Mother of the Church. All services concluded after Mass. Pallbearers were Alejandro Barbosa, Alejandro Barbosa Jr., Alfonso De Leon, Armando Lozano, Armando Lozano Jr., Arturo Gomez Jr., Aldo Martinez, and Ricardo Abete.

With sorrow in our hearts, but filled with hope we accept the Lords will. Our faith gives us the strength & confidence that one day we will be together again.
