Rites Monday

Funeral service for Audrey S. Barbour, 74, of 1518 Washington, will be conducted by Dr. Warner M. Bailey at 2 p.m. Monday at Hathaway-Myers Funeral Chapel where persons may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday and until time of service Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Mrs. Barbour died at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday at the home of her son, Michael Barbour, at Alexandria, Va. She recently had undergone surgery.

She was born at Seymour Nov. 29, 1906, the daughter of Charles F. and May Allen Trueblood. She as a 1925 graduate of Seymour High School and a 1930 graduate of Indiana University where she was a member of Lambda Theta Pi education honorary. She received a master's degree in 1933 from the University of Cincinnati where she was affiliated with Sigma Xi scientific research honorary.

She was a retired labor market analyst for Indiana State Employment Service and also had worked as a teacher and social worker. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church and American Association of Retired Persons and the auxiliaries of Columbus Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post. She also was active in Daughters of the Union.

She was the widow of Robert H. Barbour.

Survivors include another son, Robert C. Barbour of Darien, Conn.; three sisters, Muriel Shields of Seymour, Dawn Jacobi of Homewood, Ill., and Lavonna Lautenschlager of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; a brother, Charles Trueblood of Middletown, Ohio, and four grandchildren.
