Barnabas Barker was born April 13, 1723 in Scituate, MA, the son of Barnabas and Hannah (Turner) Barker. He was married in 1750 to Sarah Greene in Scituate. He and Sarah had six children. He was prominent in church and civil affairs. In the Revolution Barnabas served during the Siege of Boston. In 1780 Barnabas and Sarah came to Rindge, NH, along with his three half sisters, Content, Bathsheba and Zipporah, all three married and died in Rindge. His wife Sarah died February 20, 1797. Barnabas died March 23, 1797, aged 73 years.
