Rites Set
On Monday

Funeral services for Absalom Wiley (Bud; Barker, Gutherie,(sic) retired Beckham County treasurer of 20 to 25 tears of service, who died May 4, in the Gutherie(sic) convalescent home following a short illness, will be held Monday at 2:30 p. m. in the Methodist church with Rev. Daris M. Parker officiating.

Born September 16, 1872, at Viola, Arkansas, Mr. Barker was married to Annie Dodd at Viola, Arkansas. In 1892, they came to the Berlin and Doxey communities and homesteaded on a farm in in(sic) 1899. He was a member of the Methodist church and a charter member of the Sayre IOOF lodge.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter and one son.

Survivors are two sons; Robert Horace Barker, Norman, and Samuel Schuyler Barker, Norman, and Samuel Schyler Barker, Phoenix, Arizona; eleven grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Zena Bell.

Committal will be in the Sayre-Doxey cemetery with Moore Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
