ANDREW BARKLEY
Saint Jo, Oct. 27: ANDREW BARKLEY, 73, prominent farmer of the Forestburg community, died at his home 20 miles south of here Friday afternoon after a lingering illness. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. JOHN COX of Montague at the Forestburg Methodist Church Sunday afternoon. Interment in the Perryman cemetery arranged by Scott Bros. Mr. Barkley was born in 1861 in South Carolina, coming to Texas at an early age, settled near his present home site with his brother, JOHN BARKLEY. Mr. Barkley was a member of the Baptist Church over 40 years. He is survived by his sister Mrs. MATTIE GOODRUM of Elk City, Oklahoma and his brother JOHN F. BARKLEY of Forestburg. Pallbearers were W. H. PERRYMAN, J. F. PERRYMAN, H. M. GRIFFIN, H. M. ALLGOOD, JAMES GILILAND and MACK KNOX.
