Mary Ella Barfield, of Salem, daughter of the late Leon Shine Barksdale and Leola Urzula Fields Barksdale, was born November 26, 1919 in Orange County, FL. She died December 18, 2013 at Fulton County Hospital in Salem at the age of 94 years and 22 days.
She was united in marriage to Stanford Alexander Barfield May 19, 1941 in Clear Water, FL. During her working years, she was an administrator for the Verteran's Administration in FL. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, David and Sandra Huff, Ron Barfield, Lona Boyle, Robert Simmons, Barbara Cash and numerous other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband and her father and mother.
