OCEAN SPRINGS -- Mrs. Genevieve Wilde Barksdale, 79, died Monday, July 6, 1998, in Gautier of heart failure.
Mrs. Barksdale was a native of Jackson and had been a resident of Ocean Springs for many years. She was a graduate of the University of Mississippi and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Adna G. and Sallie Griffith Wilde.
Survivors include a daughter, Sallie B. Maxwell of Ocean Springs; three sons, Andy Burns of Biloxi, Rondo W. Barksdale of Ocean Springs and Dallas Burnes of Nashville; a brother, Adna G. Wilde Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Visitation will be after 9 a.m. today at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home on High Street in Jackson. A graveside service will follow at 10 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Jackson
