Ann Barlow, age 78 of Westport, died May 5, 2010 at Bridgeport Hospital. Ann was born April 21, 1932, a daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela Chirco of Norwalk, formerly of Marsala, Sicily. Ann is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Edward Barlow, a son, Dean Barlow of Westport; a daughter, Dale Barlow of Fairfield, a sister, Josephine Cocchia and her husband, Art of Bethel; two sisters-in-law, Marion Knox and Gladys Albright and her husband, Ed; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by a sister, Nina Chirco and two brothers, Andrew and Nicholas Chirco. Ann loved having company and cooking and baking for her friends and family and will be remembered as a loving, caring, generous woman. Friends may call in the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, on Monday, May 10, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be a service at the Congregational Church of Greens Farms, 71 Hillandale Road, Westport on Tuesday, May 11 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Jeff Rider. Burial will follow in Willowbrook Cemetery, Westport. In lieu of flowers, contributions to her memory may be made to the CT Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association, 27 Allendale Drive, North Haven, CT 06473.
