Mrs. Barnes was born Aug. 8, 1904 in Indian Territory, the daughter of George Luther and Anna Elizabeth Cahill Gill. She died Thursday, June 10, 2004 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
She married Charles Monroe Barnes who preceded her in death Oct. 24, 1996. They made their home in Jenks for many years where they were members of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Norma Elaine Plummer of Jenks, two grandchildren, one great grandchild and two great-great grandchildren.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Jenks, Nehemiah Project, 205 E. "A" Street, Jenks, OK 74037.
