She was born in Matthews, the daughter of the late Everett and Lacy (Priddy) Barnett. Wanda married William E. Armstrong, on July 3, 1953, in Matthews. He preceded her in death on July 18, 2006.
A lifelong resident of Matthews, she attended Jefferson Township High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Matthews Covered Bridge Society, the Timeless Treasures Red Hat Society, and the CPC GM Sympathy Club, Marion. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Debra (Max) Kreigh, Hartford City, Dennis (Nancy) Armstrong, Paragon and Doug (Tammie) Armstrong, Matthews; a brother, Larry (Joanne) Barnett, Matthews; five grandchildren, Lacy, Ryan, Michael, Jarrod and Eric; and four great-grandchildren, Charlie, Evie, Dylan and Owen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Roy, Bob, Glen, James, Frances, Mary Ellen, Lucille and Ruth.
Graveside service and interment will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Matthews Cemetery, Matthews, Indiana with Dee Ballinger officiating.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Jones-Smith Funeral Home, 259 N. Main St., Upland, Indiana.
