ADDREN BARNETT

HOUSTON - Addren Barnett, 71, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at DCH Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Ala. He was born Nov. 3, 1938, in Calhoun County to Fred Franklin Barnett and Emmie Olean Gibson. He was married to Wilma Etherall Deaton. He was a member of Thorn Church of God.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home in Houston with Bro. Arnold Amason officiating. Burial will be at Ellzey Cemetery in Vardaman.

He is survived by three sons, William Barnett Jr of Houston, Bobby Barnett (Lisa) of Atlanta, Ga., and Jerry Barnett (Maranda) of Houston; three daughters, Cathy Brassfield (Marty) of Houston, Tina Gordon (Curtis) of Houston and Patsy Crenshaw (William) of Mathiston; one brother, Harvey Dale Barnett (Jeanie) of Houston; three sisters, Verna Dees of Kosciusko, Evelyn Pettit of Houston and Mavis Collums (Arnold Gene) of Houlka; three grandchildren, Kayla Hiner, Destiny Crenshaw and Lexi Crenshaw; and one great-grandchild, M.J. Hiner.

He was preceded by death by his parents; one sister Pearlie Higginbotham; and two grandchildren, Justin Edward Brassfield and Michael Jacob Brassfield.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home in Houston. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service time Saturday.
