Mrs. Boyd was a native of Lawrence County and lived here until her move to Vidalia five years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Moose Lodge in Vidalia. She was preceded in death by two husbands: Cleve Ballard and Luther Boyd; one son, Rafford Ballard, and one daughter, Mrs. Birdee Keyes.
Services were held November 23 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Tilton Cemetery. Rev. Shelby Jenkins conducted the services with Sherrod Rayborn providing the music.
Survivors include two sons: Chester Ballard, Vidalia, Louisiana and Donny Ballard, Natchez; four daughters: Mrs. Bessie Kyzar, Ruth; Mrs. Bernice Jenkins, Bush, Louisiana; Mrs. Bonnie Causey, Natchez; and Mrs. Byrline Klar, Natchez; four brothers: Rufus Barnett, Jayess; Jonnie Barnett, Summit; Lester Barnett, Vidalia and Hezzie Barnett, Jayess; two sisters: Mrs. Vera Wilbur, Port Author, Texas and Mrs. Rhoda Mae Alexander, Jayess; and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Paul Holmes, Scott Burke, Kyle Burke, Jerry Coon, Charles Keyes and Derl Barnett.
