Jemima Hall was born in either 1720 or 1721 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut, the daughter of Samuel and Hannah (Guire) Hall.

Jemima married Amos Barnum on April 11, 1744 in Kent, Litchfield County, Connecticut. Connecticut, Town Marriage Records, pre-1870 (Barbour Collection) lists Jemima's name as Jemima Hall Booth.
