TAUNTON – Wanda H. (Maciejowski) Barradas, co-owner of the Barradas Sign Company, died at her residence on Monday, October 22, 2007, at the age of 84. She would have celebrated her 85th birthday on October 27th. At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her loving husband of 62 years, John Barradas, and her daughter, Cheryl, who cared for her during her brave and most courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Grzywacz) Maciejowski, and was a graduate of the Taunton Public Schools. She celebrated her 62nd wedding anniversary on October 2 with her family. A communicant of Holy Rosary Church, she was a member of the Polish American Citizens Club and a volunteer at the Morton Hospital Gift Shop with over 2000 hours of service. An avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, she could give all the “stats” of all the players. She and her husband John were always together spending time traveling, gardening and being with family and friends.

Besides her husband she is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Dyson and her companion, Fred Desrosiers, and Eva Nadeau, all of Taunton; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Louise Rusiecki, Walter and John Maciejowski.

Her funeral to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held from the CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, on Thursday, October 25, 2007, at 8:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Rosary Church at 9:30AM. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
