Our loving wife and mother, Alta Lyle Barratt Anderson passed away on February 26, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Alta was born December 3, 1927, to James Hunter Barratt and Susan Sophia Hutchison in Rexburg, Idaho, and grew up in American Fork, Utah, as the youngest of ten children. She married Blaine Pernoux Anderson, on July 12, 1956, in the Salt Lake Temple. As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Alta served two full-time missions, one with her sweetheart. She was a temple worker for 15 years and a leader and teacher in various organizations in the Church.
Alta loved camping and traveling, especially by train. She is known for her delicious hand-dipped chocolates, her seamstress skills and for making everyone within her reach feel loved and welcomed.
She is survived by her husband; her six children: Kert Anderson, Jeff (Shellie) Anderson, Kerri Evans, Jerri (Zac) Zamenski, Paula (Daniel) Ruesch, Wayne (Janae) Anderson; 22 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
