Widow of Zadock Barrett whom she married 27 April 1769; and Daughter of Amos & Elizabeth Barrett of Chelmsford, Massachusetts and Westmoreland, NH.
On 19 Dec. 1919, A. C. Wellman, Town Clerk of Brookline said that Esther was buried in the "Central Cemetery". The problem is this cemetery has had a number of different names through the years and the boundaries of its original land parcel, also expanded. Many of the deaths before 1860 are in the OLD section, and many stones have disappeared over the years through vandalism and weather damage.
Zadock was not a soldier of the Revolution from any rolls we can find. he was living in Hinsdale, NH in 1772 when his son Zadock Jr. was born. In 1781 he was in Chesterfield, NH where he probably died.
