Della Barrie, 101, Momence,
Dies; Rites Set
Della Wehr Barrie, Momence, died this morning at St. Mary's Hospital, after a
long illness. She was 101 years old. She was born March 8, 1870 in Momence,
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Taylor, and had been a resident of this area
for her entire life.
Survivors include sons William and Jesse Wehr of Momence and John Wehr of
Kankakee; seven grandchildren; sixteen greatgrand children; and a
great-great-granddaughter.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Church. Burial
will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday at the Canaday-Boos Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be recited at 8
