47010264 adds: Died in California - Demise of Mrs. Fergus Anderson, Formerly of Ayr - the many friends of Mrs. Fergus Anderson will regret very much to learn of her death, which sad event took place at her late residence in Los Angeles, Cali., on the 27th of Jan'y. Her daughter, Miss Grace Anderson, is, at time of writing, enroute to Ayr to have deceased interred in the home town burying ground here. Mrs. Anderson was a daughter of the late Walter Barrie of North Dumfries. She was joined in wedlock with the late Fergus Anderson about 40 years ago and resided on the farm now owned by Mr. Adam Douglas, where they continued to live until Mr. Anderson's death nine years since. Subsequently the widow and two daughters, Grace and Mary, moved to Los Angeles, Mrs. Anderson and Miss Grace visiting here last summer and fall. From that time the deceased began to fail in health. She was about 70 years of age. Besides the daughters there also survive two brothers, Walter and Robert, and three sisters, Mrs. Eustace Walker, Edmonton, Alta., and Misses Margaret and Bessie, California. The funeral will take place from Mr. O. T. Ball's undertaking parlors, after the arrival of the Los Angeles, Chicago and Detroit train at Ayr. The pall bearers selected are Messrs. C. McGeorge, J. L. Black, Geo. Black, A. E. Laurie, A. G. Laurie, and A. E. Scott.
