She leaves her daughter Jeanne Servin and two grandsons, Richard and Brian, she also leaves a sister Doris Clark and a brother, Henry Gauthier both of Worcester and several nieces and nephews. Five sisters, Evelyn Durant, Irene Beaudet, Lorraine Purdy, Robia Belmore and Rita Mullin and one brother Roland Gauthier predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her former husbands, Rene Lagace, Leonard West and Joseph Barry.
Mrs. Barry was born in Worcester daughter of Cyrille and Florence M. (Arsenault) Gauthier. She attended Worcester Vocational School and worked in several clothing shops where she did the sewing, which she did beautifully. She was a life member of the American Legion Morrissitte Post 213 Auxiliary, Quincy and served as its President in 1976. She was also a life member of the V.F.W Auxiliary and a life member of Tatnuck Post 288 Auxiliary. Rose also belongs to the Leicester Senior Club, St Christopher Auxiliary, Societe St Jean Baptiste and the Auburn Senior Center. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, bowling and dancing.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, May 17 in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, Worcester. The funeral for Mrs. Barry will be held Saturday, May 18 from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Christopher Church, 950 West Boylston Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Francis Nursing Home, 101 Plantation Street, Worcester, Ma., 01604.
