Daughter of:
Sylvestre Joseph Barry
and
Marie Emerite (Guidry) Barry

First wife of:
Alcide Alexandre L. "Kelly" Andrus

They were married January 14, 1891 in Grand Coteau, Saint Landry Parish, Louisiana.

In Memoriam.

Died--At Grand Coteau, on Thursday, May 26, 1892, Mrs. Leonie Barry, consort of Alex. L. Andrus, in the 23d year of her age.

Little did the citizens of Grand Coteau think that the beautiful sun on Thursday morning would rise but to summon from amongst us one whose qualifications had endeared her to those by whom she was surrounded, and whose Christian and gentle manners will long be remembered by all who knew her.

"But death has no signal." It cometh like a thief in the dead of night.

The bereaved family have our heart-felt sympathy. They, indeed, have suffered a loss irreparable. After a short illness of two weeks, which she bore with Christian fortitude, she expired calmly and devoutly, on the morning of the 26th inst.

In dedicating this to her memory let us breathe an ardent prayer for her soul's happiness. A Friend.
