Daughter of John Jacob Swart & Mary Catherine Goverd Swart. Alma was born and lived most of her life on Pelican Ave. She married Bill Barry, Sr. Oct. 27, 1920 in a civil ceremony in Jefferson Parish. She had one child, William Thomas Barry, Jr. and nine grandchildren. Alma loved to dance and socialize with her friends. She was a congregant of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church.
