Reba L. Bartlett, age 88 of Belmont Avenue, Mount Vernon, passed away on Tuesday July 27, 2004 at the Laurels of Mount Vernon. She was born on September 18, 1915 to the late Chester and Bessie (Hill) Johnson. Mrs. Bartlett was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Retired Senior Volunteer Parent at the Mount Vernon Developmental Center and former member of the Women of the Moose. She also worked 25 years as a sales clerk for J. C. Penny and was former co-owner of the 3 Gables Inn.
She is survived by a son, Thomas (Candy) Bartlett of Mount Vernon, three grandchildren, HiDee (Silverwood) Ekstrom, Brent Silverwood, Danette (Silverwood) Phelps, a step granddaughter, Theresa (Burris)Vernon, three great grandchildren, one step great granddaughter a brother in law, Richard Bartlett of Florida and sister in law Ruth Johnson of Mount Vernon
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Henry D. Bartlett, and infant son, David Lee Bartlett, three grandchildren, Chad Bartlett, Tedi Lyn Bartlett, Christopher Richard Bartlett, and two brothers, Lowell and Elton Johnson.
