He was born on September 21, 1926 in Morris Township, Ohio to the late Larry and Violet (Jones) Bartlett. Frank was a lifetime farmer. He and his brothers owned and operated the Bartlett Brothers Sawmill and Hermitcroft Farms. He was a lifetime 4-H advisor, was a longtime member of the F.F.A. and was a member of the Berlin United Methodist Church. He built custom model airplanes, produced beautiful stained glass which he gave to family and friends as gifts, and had the reputation of being able to build or fix anything. Frank would help someone with a project at any time. After retirement, Frank worked at Clearfork Ski Resort and Mohican Wilderness. But most of all, he loved the time he spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife, of over 64 years, Elinor (Brokaw) Bartlett; his son Greg (Diane) Bartlett of Mount Vernon; his daughter Bunny (Sam) Vance of Mount Vernon; three grandchildren, Joshua Bartlett, Justin Bartlett, Jillian Vance; and two great-grandchildren, Madelyn Sue Bartlett and Cole Gregory Bartlett.
Besides his parents, Frank was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Dan Bartlett.
Friends may call on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 12-1 p.m. at the Berlin United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow beginning at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ruth Douglas officiating. The family will observe a private graveside service in Morris Chapel Cemetery.
