He was born in Cobb County, GA in 1951. During the Civil War his mother passed away (1863) and the family farm was destroyed. Aaron was only 12 years old but considered old enough to "fend for himself." He survived by following the Confederate troops doing various jobs. Later, he became a successful merchant. He passed the bar and became a lawyer. He was elected twice as a Superior Court Judge. He also served a term as a GA State Representative.
He passed away in 1926 and is buried in Dallas, Paulding County, GA
